Wasswa Sulait has emerged as one of Uganda’s most influential young digital creators by turning social media into a platform for educational inspiration.

Widely known by his online name “Da Best Mulongo,” the Mbarara-born content creator has gained popularity for producing entertaining videos that encourage children to embrace education and enjoy the school experience.

Born in 1999, Sulait saw an opportunity to use TikTok differently from many creators. Instead of focusing solely on entertainment, he began creating content designed to motivate children and support positive attitudes toward learning.

“I started TikTok with the aim of making children love school through entertainment,” Sulait explains. “When children enjoy learning, they become more confident about their future.”

His approach quickly attracted attention from schools, parents, and education stakeholders. Today, he is regularly invited to schools and youth events where he interacts with learners and shares motivational messages through performances and educational activities.

Sulait’s professional background as a journalist has played a key role in shaping his content strategy. Having studied Mass Communication, he understands the influence media can have on society and uses that knowledge to create content that balances entertainment with meaningful lessons.

The creator credits much of his success to the support of his parents, Swaibu Yusuf and Nakyeyune Sulaina, who encouraged his passion for communication and creativity from an early age.

As Uganda’s digital economy continues to expand, Sulait represents a new generation of creators who are using technology not only to build personal brands but also to address social challenges. His work demonstrates how digital platforms can encourage positive behaviour, support education, and inspire young people.

Through his growing online presence and continued engagement with schools, Wasswa Sulait remains committed to one mission: helping children see education as an opportunity rather than an obligation.

For many of his young followers, he has become more than a TikTok star. He is a mentor, motivator, and advocate for the power of learning.
